Gelatin
Gelatin is a coagulant, extracted from the bones and skins of animals. To obtain gelatin powder, you need to grind the bones and skins to a fine powder. The crushed material solidifies upon cooling and is used as a stabilizer in food industry, a substance marked E441. Gelatin’s main use is as a stabilizer in a variety of products in food industry and it holds a place of honor as a useful substance for various uses, such as mousse, Bavarian cream and other creams, edible jellies, sweets, gummy candies and sour candies, and also for making capsules for medications. Being defined as safe to use by the FDA, gelatin is also used in cosmetics industry and is used, among other things, for making face masks, hair restoration products etc.
