Sodium saccharine
Sodium saccharin is an artificial sweetener, a salt of the organic acid saccharin, marked E-954. Saccharin was the first artificial sweetener, as it is not found in nature, but rather a lab synthesized chemical compound. Sodium saccharin is used as an artificial sweetener and tastes three hundred to four hundred times sweeter than sugar, depending on using of different products, and possesses almost zero caloric value. It is used in beverages, medications, candies, cookies and as a table sweetener as well.
