Polysorbate

Polysorbate is a food additive, used as an emulsifier – a substance that binds two substances that do not mix with each other, like oil and water, whereas also preventing their subsequent separation. It is used to create water-based products with low oil percentage. It grants the food stable and improved uniform texture and allows mixing oils, such as soap or shampoo, while keeping the product transparent.
